- Whole house + slab + pool removed, site graded ready for the builder
- Cyclone-damaged house cleared with make-safe electrical isolation first
- Multi-lot redevelopment cleared and prepared as a single package

Who is on site at your house demolition
A house demolition looks simple from the kerb, but the crew running the machine, cutting services and loading trucks each need current competencies for the tasks they perform. If you have ever wondered where our crews get their tickets, they are trained through OnShift Education (RTO 41304), a registered training organisation specialising in demolition and civil competencies.
On your job that means a documented crew, a named supervisor and site records you can hand to your builder or certifier.
Common questions from clients
What is included in a complete house demolition quote?+
Site setup and exclusion zones, structure demolition, slab and footing removal where scoped, pool and pavement removal, waste segregation and lawful disposal, and clean site hand-back ready for the next stage of construction. Service disconnections and any earthworks or drainage are itemised so nothing is hidden.
Do you arrange service disconnections?+
We coordinate power, water, gas and communications disconnections with the licensed authorities and trades. Electrical isolation is delivered through our in-house Unrestricted Electrical Contractor Licence 73922.
Can you remove the slab, footings and pool?+
Yes. Slab, footings, pool shells and hardstand removal are commonly bundled into the demolition scope and priced against the site condition.
Can you prepare the site for the new build?+
Yes. Site clearing, excavation, cut-and-fill and building-pad preparation can be delivered in the same mobilisation as the demolition through our earthworks capability.
How is demolition waste handled?+
Waste is segregated on site into recoverable streams — timber, metals, masonry and general — and tracked through the disposal chain. Any suspected asbestos triggers a licensed removal subcontractor and clearance before mechanical demolition proceeds.
Do you handle cyclone-damaged, fire-damaged or derelict houses?+
Yes. Storm, cyclone and fire-damaged structures are regular work in the North Queensland region, along with derelict houses being cleared for redevelopment.
Do you undertake partial demolition and strip-outs?+
Yes. Renovation strip-outs, partial structural removal and make-safe works are regular scopes.
What information should I provide for a quote?+
Site address or suburb, a short description of the structure, any known asbestos or contamination reports, plans if available, and your target timing. Photographs of the front, back and inside help us respond faster and more accurately.
What areas do you service?+
CEDR services North and Far North Queensland from Mackay to Cooktown — including Cairns, the Cairns Northern Beaches, Port Douglas, Innisfail, the Cassowary Coast, Atherton Tablelands, Mareeba, Townsville, Ayr, the Burdekin, Bowen, the Whitsundays and Mackay. Regional mobilisation to Cooktown and remote locations is available subject to project scope.
What licences and insurance do you hold?+
QLD Unrestricted Demolition Licence 2332018, Electrical Contractor Licence 73922, $20M Public and Products Liability and plant & machinery cover of $2.246M. Certificates of Currency and licence pack supplied on request.
